You may ask yourself, is it even possible to create even one half hour of additional time each day to work on my goals? Yes, you can do this! Here are some ideas to help you. They may not all be possible, so if not, select the ones that fit your daily schedule.
1. Get up one half hour earlier, go to bed one half hour later, or create 15 minutes each morning and night.
2. Swap a half hour of childcare a day or an hour every other day, with a friend or neighbor who is also working toward their goals or just wants to support you.
3. If your child is older and attends activities, take something along that you could do while waiting.
4. Prepare the night before, for the next day. Not only does being prepared make for a less hectic morning, but it provides additional time that can be used for other things, instead of searching for things or making decisions.
5. Another way to create extra time is to safely double up tasks when possible. For example, one thing you may want to do to reach a goal is to learn more about a topic or get yourself motivated. An easy way to do this is to listen to free podcasts or audio while you’re safely doing another task. For example, if your goals include becoming healthier and learning about website creation, you could spend your lunch break at work, eating some fruit and listening to a podcast about website development, as you take a short walk. Here are some more examples. You could clean the house while listening to audio about ways to successfully market on social media or you could create a great name for your business while taking a shower or drying your hair. Be creative, and you will find the hidden time within your day. I bet you have some already, so feel free to share them below and you may help someone else.
